Overview

The City of Splendors: the largest and richest trading city on the Sword Coast. It is governed by masked Lords under a public Open Lord, crowded with noble families, guilds and secret factions, and famously protected by an ancient ward that keeps dragons out of the city.

Beneath Mount Waterdeep lies Undermountain, the dungeon of the Mad Mage Halaster, entered through the well in the Yawning Portal inn.
